Our journey so far ✨

The road to fatherhood through surrogacy is not straight or fast, but filled with special moments, choices, and lots of love. Here’s our timeline so far:

 

2022 – The first step

At an event for gay couples in the Netherlands, we realized how difficult the surrogacy process seemed. Yet our dream of becoming dads only grew stronger.

2023 – Inspiration and preparation

We spoke with friends who built their family through surrogacy. Their story gave us hope and courage to begin our own journey.

May 2024 – Finding an egg donor

In spring, we were blessed to find a wonderful egg donor willing to help us.

July 2024 – Embryos in Toronto

In Toronto, we created embryos – three from Jim and three from Sander. All six are tested and healthy. This felt like a huge milestone: suddenly, our biggest dream felt within reach.

December 2024 – Joining agencies

We joined New Hope Surrogacy and the Canadian Surrogacy Community (CSC). We also began working with Arielle Taylor, an experienced guide in this process.

2025 – Ready for the next step

With six embryos ready and a loving network behind us, we are now looking for a kind, amazing surrogate who wants to join us on this adventure.

What’s next…

We dream of the day we can celebrate together with our surrogate that new life is on the way. Until then, we’ll share our journey here – the highs, the lows, the laughter, and all the gratitude in between. 💛
